I noticed this in 4.5 core in drupal.css:

Code: [Select]
/*
        shift the civi menu down below the drupal menu
*/
#civicrm-menu {
        top: 29px!important;
        background: #0074bd repeat-x; /* #4d8f46 */
        z-index:50;
}

However, this does not work for me using the admin menu module.

While I recognize that this isn't as elegant a solution as what folks are suggesting - maybe a good interim solution would be to make the CiviCRM navigation bar a color other than black?  That way, it's more obvious that you've "switched" to CiviCRM?

I think that would be a good 'mini' improvement
