Problems w/ Display/Theme after install
May 26, 2011, 09:21:59 am
Hello,

I've built a site on Drupal 6.20, using Symphony Themes' "Conch" Theme, which uses Fusion Core. I've just successfully installed CiviCRM 3.4.

However, after installation, there is no CiviCRM link in the navigation. If I type mydomain/CiviCRM into the url, I can see the "CiviCRM Home" page, but it's squeezed into my site's theme, the superfish navigation is all expanded, and it looks terrible. I've also noticed that on certain site admin pages (e.g. permissions) the navigation is all fragmented. On other pages, the navigation looks just fine. I've posted some screen shots, but apparently can't link them to this forum.

I've tried some suggestions I've come across in the forums: flushing the cache, entering the menu rebuild url, disabling/re-enabling CiviCRM module, but nothing has changed. I have enabled all CiviCRM permissions for authenticated users.

I'd be happy to use CiviCRM with a template like the demo has (or anything else), since it doesn't seem to work well with my theme -- do I need to also install the CiviCRM theme to do this?

Additionally, I'm getting this message most of the type when trying to click into areas of the CiviCRM site: "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate --- bytes) in..."
I've seen some documentation on this, which I have yet to try, but just thought I'd mention it here in case it's related.

Any assistance you might be able to lend would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Andrew

Hershel

If you Google for "Superfish CiviCRM"  you will find there have been bugs reported and there are fixes for this.

No, the D6 demo actually uses one of the built in standard Drupal themes, without anything additional. As far as I know.

This would be an issue with your server. If you can set your server to allow your more RAM, CiviCRM can require up to 128mb as per the About CiviCRM page: http://civicrm.org/aboutcivicrm

If this can't be adjusted, then you would need to consider a different host.
