Great work.

I suspect/know for sure they are other places that have the same issue, eg. the petition signature form.

Could you run your profiler on it? (what do you use?)

In general, would be great to have a watchdog that is able to count the number of requests for each page and be able to see where civi misuse the db. the developer module in drupal already logs the queries. Has someone experience with it for profiling?

PS. Also, the issue doesn't seem to be only for English speakers (cf. title of the post ;)

I use X_debug to profile but devel module to see the queries. I'd be fairly sure the petition form is doing the same thing as the survey form - building the profile once per row. & Probably, like the survey form it ignores it's own paging - ie. for survey only 10 rows are displayed but buildProfile is called 45 times - so pages 2-5 have already been built even though I can't see them

Petition is a single form and still generates loads of query.

OK, I'll try - but assume I need to do some setup first as I have no petitions
