So, what makes you believe that there is a problem with the configuration of either the server or Drupal. Especially when someone else has reported the exact same errors/problems with his install?
Also, I asked this question before and never received an answer: Upon initial installation CiviCRM creates an entire file structure in sites/default/files that is owned by the server. is that normal behavior?
#3) I still cannot see the CiviCRM menus but believe that is a known issue (true?)
From this I conclude that CiviCRM is properly installed locally (not withstanding the lack of menus) and that in fact the likely issue is indeed server settings at the ISP. Would you agree? If so, I will open a support ticket with them and if I need to post any further on this forum I will open a new thread (per your request).
