Unable to create an event

I apologize if this question has been asked before - I've searched for a couple of days and haven't found a solution to my problem.

I'm new to civicrm. I'm running Drupal 7 with civicrm 4.0.7. I've gone through the configuration checklist and one of the first things I'm trying to do is setup an event. I fill out the form and hit the continue button and all it does is return me to the event add screen.

I'm at a loss of how to troubleshoot this, any suggestions of what might be happening is appreciated.

Sounds odd. Do other operations like creating contacts and groups work?

Yes, I am able to create contacts and groups. This has been an original issue since we have installed this a couple of months ago. I've also tried uninstalling civicrm and reinstalling the latest version.

Does anyone have any idea of how I could troubleshoot what actually is occurring?

I'm really not sure what this could be, but you could consider examining the form destination of your site (use Firebug for Firefox) vs. that of the live demo: http://d7.demo.civicrm.org/ for that page.

Hi Tina, have you found a solution to this? I have the same problem.

I can't reproduce the problem in the demo environment, it works fine there.

I've just installed and got exactly the same issue!

Anyone found the fix.

I'm going to check with my host if its something to do with mod_security and I'll report back

Had issues in the past with Civi and Mod_security

Hi all

Just had a reply from our hosts and yu, the problem was being caused by mod_security

So get onto your hosts and ask them to sort
