So we've been getting a lot of complaints from individuals trying to unsubscribe from our system. They click the unsub link are sent the email and everything looks good. But when I go into the subscription history table in the database to view all history (the UI only shows the most recent history for each group) I can see that they're unsubscribed via the email system as they should be, but then a second later are re-subscribed by the API. What would cause something like this to happen? My first guess is it has something to do with the drupal role sync plugin since its one of the only things I can think of that uses the API to control adding and removing from groups. Has anyone else come across this?

What's particularly odd is this doesn't seem to happen for everyone, only select individuals (the majority, but still not all). Of course it works fine with all the dummy users I've created and tested it with.

I'm running 3.4.7 on Drupal 6.22
