Probably not. But for there to be a long run in our use of CiviCRM, I need it to function in the short run. 4.1.6 does that. 4.2.4 and 4.2.7 do not. Plus, even if we solved the "no emails associated" issue, I'm back to staring at the fees issue. This approach solves the "no emails" issue well enough (and immediately enough) that I can skip ahead to pay attention to the fees issue directly....

This issue appears to be related to 'no emails' - might want to follow it (and potentially test a patch assuming if a fix is posted) : http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-11913

Thanks for pointing that out - that does look like it might be related. I will keep an eye on it.
