I'd love to come -- did I miss the date somewhere?

Hi there,

Details for the next confirmed meeting are here: http://civicrm.org/node/357.  Would be great to see you there.  Where abouts are you based?

Hi Michael,

We are looking into using Civi CRM with Drupal and I am just at the beginning of my research. I am very interested in meeting up and hearing from other users. I am in Somerset and would certainly be interested in a Bristol meeting.

Hi
I'm based in Bristol and also working with an organisation looking at using CiviCRM and would be really interested if a meeting was happening here.

Hi
I'm based in Cornwall and just in process of implementing a CiviCRM on Joomla system. Not always easy to get to London, but I see the next get together was a week ago anyway  ;) and Drupal focussed  :(

Be good to have a couple of months notice so that cheap train tickets can be acquired and other reasons to cross the Tamar coordinated. I'd be very keen to come and meet anyone trying to use Civi/Joomla

Scuse a kiwi interloper but  .... I will be in UK for most of July. Based in Hereford with reasons to travel to Somerset (via Bristol no doubt), Cornwall (if I can stretch us that far) and Essex (and possibly Brighton) - oh yes and London will no doubt get in the way.
So would be interested in meeting fellow civiCRMers if I am passing the neighbourhood and the family don't have better plans. Just thought I'd let you know. Buzz me on PM if you want to share more contact details. Cheers

Hi all, especially new people from the south west,

Great that you want to meet up.  It seems the next meeting will definitely be in Bristol or somewhere near.  We are on the look out for a venue.  Anyone have any ideas?  Check the Civi blog and this forum for more news as it comes.

I've just written a forum post (here http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,3766.0.html) asking people about the best way for people to connect locally in the time and space between meetings - not just in the UK but around the world - to see what interest there is in a coordinated approach to localised CiviCRM communication.  Your views on that would be really appreciated.

In the mean time, I am collecting people's email addresses in the UK so everyone can communicate before any new system is put into place - just a temporary measure.  My email is michaelmcandrew@gmail.com.  Feel free to send me yours if you want to be kept up to date and I'll add it to the list.

Cheers,
Michael

The Cornubia pub is quite near Temple Meads station and has an upstairs room that I have been to for Sunday lunchtime meetings before - someone  on the ground needs to check it out. Near the station is a good requirement.

In case you haven't seen it, there's a new UK usergroup forum board here: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/board,34.0.html where these kind of conversations are continuing.
