1. these errors just started in the past few days? the system was working fine for the prior few months, i assume

2. any more details on the cpanel <-> mysql issues and the status of your mysql db?

seems like this is a db issue at this stage. can u transfer the db locally and run some tests?

1. These problems appears after moving form a previous server to a new, cpanel based server.

2. I seem to be passed the 'lost connection' type errors. I don't believe there are active errors in the database, except possibly the one mailing that returns the "more than one live job" issue.

I decided to test sending a message via the 'Send mail to Contact' feature, and I received a SMTP error. So I am working with my host to find out if the server is blocking third party SMTP connections. (cPanel includes a security 'feature' to disallow this, but I believe I have the feature disabled.)

OK, with the help of Shane @ UAS / CiviSMTP, we narrowed down the final issue to the a network problem in the CiviSMTP data center.

So, the bottom line for future generations is to know that the MySQL issue WAS resolved by the cPanel provided fix. So be aware of this potential requirement.
