Hey,

I am one of raustin's said colleagues.  I've done a good bit of tweaking and development on the webapp.  There's a pretty handy and responsive ajax search functionality.  I've modified it to work with our custom civi data, so as it exists now, it would need to be modified a great deal.

You can find the source code in the github repo: https://github.com/ACEatND/CiviCRMClient

Thanks,
bstalcup

Thanks bstalcup!

We also have a publicly available version to test here: http://civicrmmobile.cloudaccess.net/

Give us day or so to update it. The latest version is on our live site and we're updating at that demo link so you can see it in action.

Thanks @bstalcup and @raustin1. While I may not be able to make use of your project code or build upon them, the project certainly gave me a good perspective on what a potential App should look like and how is it being used by one of the CiviCRM user.

I will be starting from scratch, building a native Android App. It would be really great if you guys could give me feedback on the working of the App as I develop. I think Google Play Store would be a nice place for me to continuously upload newer versions of the App as I develop and let you try it out.

Thanks again for sharing your project, very much appreciated! :)

Thanks IJagan,

We'll monitor your project and provide feedback as we can. Unfortunately, only two people in our organization (of over 100 people) use Android, so there isn't much we can do to support an Android-only product for Civi. If it it will be made cross-platform, please let us know.

How are things going? Do you have any updates for us on work that you have started or continued this past week?

Hi Emily!

I have been designing some base modules to implement the core features of the project to submit for mid-term evaluation. I think I will have a working prototype incorporating the core features like - handling CiviCRM Contact calls/Texts by next week.

I would be able to give a more concrete update with prototype and discuss the same with my mentors by next week.

Regards,
Jagatheesan

Re: [GSoC 2015] [Need Testers Urgently] Cividroid - A CiviCRM companion on Android!
August 13, 2015, 10:25:29 pm
Hi everyone!

I have a testable .apk linked in the first post. It would be great if if anybody would like to volunteer to test the App in its current state on a live environment.

I need some urgent feedback to shape the App towards a completion. If anybody is interested in performing some kind of continuous testing where I keep pushing new .apks to test, I would be really grateful. In return, may be I could design/add any specific feature for your organization. ;)

Note:- The App is planned to work with two entities Contacts and Activities - please provide feedback accordingly.

Hi Xavier!

Absolutely! Will be up very soon.

Till then please have a look at this small document which showcases the features with some beautiful renders of the screenshots - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ed910joDNwQx6i-2kSkV7_uoK4CUArlv6dUnwrJW5V0/edit#

This looks great! One small suggestion: I think just the CiviCRM logo would probably look better on the login screen.

Sure thing! I was just experimenting at very early stage of development, will push the CiviCRM logo in next update.

BTW, here is a screencast of the App - https://youtu.be/jQdNXiqEJCI :)
