Now that we have entered the official coding section of the project, we are looking for daily updates from the student detailing the following:

- What you are working on today
- What issues / roadblocks you are trying to overcome
- Any other questions you have where we can help (you can also ask these on stack exchange)

Please keep us updated as to your progress!

Hi,

With respect to the previous post on this thread, today I added UTM parameters to the links which are generated in "Help Spread The Word Section" on Event Pages. Currently I am trying to figure out the Event link which is shared under "Tell A Friend".

Hi Everyone,

I am currently working on the Embed API. I plan to have an alpha version of the dashboard by the end of this weekend.

Thank You,

I'm not sure I understand what it is or where it comes from, can you give some context?

Hi Xavier,
After the administrator chooses to enable web tracking on a particular event page, the tracking metrics/results can be seen from google analytics web page. The dashboard aims to provide a quickly accessible summary of some of the important metrics which google analytics provides. So instead of having to open google analytics and searching for separate metrics the administrator can use the dashboard to see the results from within civiCRM itself.

A brief of the components in the dashboard:
  • [First Pie Chart] Top countries from where traffic is coming to the page
  • [Second Pie Chart] Top social sources from where traffic is coming to the page (Only those links which were appended with UTM tags are categorized here,  others are categorized as "direct")
  • [First Table] Top Events i.e. how many people actually clicked on the register button, how many people changed the default donation amount to X dollars, how many people actually confirmed their registration etc.
  • [Second Table] Top E-Commerce Revenue Sources i.e. how much money was raised as a result of people liking the event URL on facebook, how much money was raised as a result of people tweeting the event link on twitter etc.
  • [Line Graph] Graph of Page Views vs Time

Hi Everyone,
I met my mentor Kurund in person a couple of days back.

This is what we have planned to do:
1) Currently I was making changes to CiviCRM core itself. We plan to model my project as an extension. So now I am focusing on moving my implementation till now into an extension.
2) After having completed point one I will incorporate changes in the current implementation which Kurund suggested.

Thank You,
Vishal Agarwal

Now I am focusing on making the changes which Kurund proposed.

Thank You,
Vishal Agarwal

Fight On!

Vishal,

I installed your extension to my site with two active event. Activated the extension, if I went to the existing event and get DB error. When disactivated the extension, the events works. (Under WP 4.3.1, with civi 4.6.8)

My question, your extension works only for new events?

Now I will make experiment on my test system, without active events.

Thanks, Zoltan
