CiviGrant does not appear in tabs

On the sandbox:
1. enable the CiviGrant component in the Global Settings menu.
2. view a contact's detail information page, and observe that the Grants tab does not appear

The Grants tab should be present when CiviGrant component is enabled.

I think we can make this happen by enabling the Grants tab by default (under Admin CiviCRM >> Site Preferences >> Viewing Contacts). With this default setting, the tab would appear if and when someone enables CiviGrant as a component.

I've sent an email to Kurund to verify this approach.

Yes, it was a Settings configuration as you suggested. I should have figured that out.

We have fixed the code, so that i once you enable CiviGrant, Grants tab in Contact Summary and Grants panel in Advanced Search is automatically added.

Hmm - so i have enabled civiGrant and check under site preferences it is checked but i am not getting a Tab or in Adv Search. and i have gone check on 2.1 demo and same story from what i can see - but I see it in the nice shiny new 2.2

However, my research shows this obviously is not a system that would help an organisation manage its Grant applications as this is for dishing out Grants not trying to suck them in. Makes sense. Back to the drawing board.  :)

Now Grants is enabled on http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/ .
This was a drupal permission issue. Demo user's role didn't have permission for CiviGrant Component.
