Hi Matt - just spotted this http://groups.drupal.org/node/2195#comment-6037 which says
Quote
I built modules for home phone banking over the web (which was used for hundreds of thousands of calls), barcode-enabled data entry for walklists, quality control queues, and statistical reporting mechanisms. With a contact lists of all 1.3 million Nevada voters, we didn't use CiviCRM so all the above modules were constructed to work with a Sugar-based CRM. By connecting these modules to CiviCRM (and there were others but these are the biggies) and generalizing how surveys are constructed, etc., these could turn into cool contribs.
May be worth making contact?

Hey Matt2000. It's so cool that you are developing this. I do have some questions though to clarify this in my mind.

1. What would the phone banking interface look like? Once someone is assigned a group to call, how would they "see" that list of people to call? Or would this need the call script module below? Would it use something like CiviCRM profiles or would it be on the Drupal side but display info from CiviCRM?
2. Are you envisioning the CiviCallscript module to involve data merging? Similar to CiviMail and tokens, would it say Hello {contact.name} please renew your previous donation of {contribution.amount}, etc... I know this is asking a lot but would be awesome.

If you need any help testing this module, i would be more than happy to. thanks again for this pushing this forward

Tony,

1.) Calls are simply Activities as they are currently implemented in CiviCRM, so the interface is the existing CiviCRM Home page.

2.) I hadn't considered this, but it shouldn't be particularly difficult to implement, if/when I get to that phase.

First module is available for testing now, linked previously in this thread.

Has civiPhonebank been abandoned?   :(

Or has it moved into civiCampaign?  :)

We have used civicampaign for phonebanking (survey).

The workflow is more adapted to offline surveys but works ok enough.

Would be create if you could sponsor/code a better workflow more specifically for phonebanking.
