Cancel Running Mailing ?

I thought I'd cancelled a mailing before, but maybe it was only scheduled, but not running.  We have a mailing running twice, is there a way to cancel a running mailing?  Cancel asks, but doesn't seem to do anything.

Oooops ... did now show up as canceled, just took a little while (not long).
