Exporting to csv
July 19, 2007, 06:35:04 am
Hi,

I've a -very- strange behaviour with the latest sable version of civicrm.

When I create an advanced search query, the result is OK. I choose to export all found records to CSV. Everything goes well except that, it always export all records! Even though it displays that it will export the correct number of records. When I open the CSV, I have it all.

I could not reproduce it on the sandbox. Therefore I suspect I did something wrong, but the hell if I know what.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Damien

we'll do a new 1.7 release later today which should fix this issue. Here's the fisheye changeset of u want to add it manually:

http://fisheye.civicrm.org/changelog/CiviCRM/branches/v1.7?cs=9861

It also references the two issues which first pointed out the problem

Many thankx Lobo. It's not the first time I write this, but, again, your support is awesome.

Hmmm... I just upgraded to today's stable version (1.7.10272) and while it doesn't export the entire database now, it still exports the wrong number of rows.

I did an advanced search for Members in group 'x' and a custom field checkbox = 'y' which produced 183 rows but it actually exported 858...

Further to my previous post, it seems to be ignoring the custom field checkbox = 'y part of the search in the export.  When I just search for Members in group 'x' there are 858 rows returned.

Unfortunately, I confirm I have the same behaviour as yesterday even though I applied the patch. I double check that the version of the files (the one you patched) are the same as the ones on fisheyes.

dflasse:

and u cannot reproduce this issue on demo? If so, can u download the entire package and install that. Maybe there were some other code changes that were not marked in the commit message.

Can u please report back on your findings :)

Thanx

Most likely this is related to: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-2103 which is fixed in 1.8. Can u test your case on th sandbox: http://sandbox.civicrm.org/drupal/

thanx

Could not replicate my problem in the sandbox, so maybe it is fixed in the sandbox version or I just couldn't replicate it.  I was hoping not to have to wait until 1.8 is ready for a fix though...

I've already downloaded the entire package without success.

I can't reproduce it on the sandbox either. I'm quite reluctant to install 1.8 in alpha stage to fix one single bug.
