Any news here? ... I also can contribute $$ for the development... It would take me way too long to do it by myself  ;D

Has anyone considered using Google Calendar within Joomla?   I am experimenting with this and have a demo environment at: http://demo.shulsuite.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=76  This calendar is showing CiviEvents as well as Hebrew calendar dates and festivals.

The only limitation I currently have: I am importing a iCal file from CiviEvent because there is a bug with adding a URL to Google to the CiviEvent url. ( Which is being discussed on thread http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,6865.0.html )

Looks like an interesting project - I'd be interested to see if there is any news ...

JcalPro would be nice. Right now we are doing a double entry so we can display the events in a calendar format rather than in the default Civic listing format.

I also played with the Google Calendar but any links in the description are not showing, as Google does not allow it.

I know this in an old topic... but I just found a Calendar for Joomla! that will work with iCal feeds.

http://www.zcontent.net

I already pay it (it's not free) and I will be testing it out... this Joomla! component can have different feeds for each of the categories which is a nice feature.

I will report after my testing is done.
