your best bet would be to upgrade to 2.2. The product and feature set has been significantly improved since 2.0. I'm pretty sure copying the files over will not work

the core team does not support 2.0

Okay, I think I'm getting closer but I'm not there yet....

I took at look at the two searches you found and thought that the price set one was probably what I need most urgently. So I downloaded Civicrm 2.2, uploaded the appropriate file (in this case I think it is just one file because the php file makes reference to sample.tpl which was already present?). Then did the steps to register the file, which appeared to work.

Now when I navigate to my new search I get:

unrecoverable error
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

There are no events with Price Sets

    Return to home page.

There is indeed an event with a price set called Symposium.

Thoughts?

Hi.

Unfortunately, upgrading is really not an option at this time. As I mentioned before, it is on the radar but not for a number of months. Several absolutely necessary Drupal modules aren't ready for 6.0 yet, and Civicrm 2.1 and up do not work with Drupal 5. Plus it will take a huge amount of time to upgrade as the site is fairly complex (and this is a fairly urgent and time sensitive event).

If I can't do this I don't know what I'm going to do. If I'd realized that price sets had this limitation, I probably would have chosen another software solution.

At this point i'd recommend you hire someone from http://civicrm.org/professional/ to take a look at what needs to be modified for the custom search to work on your 2.0 data. I remember that price sets data format changed a bit, but i dont know the specifics

Good idea. I've posted a message on the professional forum here: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,8036.0.html

Thanks for all of your help!
