I'm the original poster of this issue.  When I had the issue back in May I ended up rebuilding the site from scratch.  I've been very careful to check each time I installed a new Drupal module to see if I can figure out what caused the problem.  It finally came back when this week I installed the Advertisement module.  I have since uninstalled the module but the problem persists.  Any ideas?

No idea why installing a different module should affect the javascript which handles this calculation / display ??? You might try viewing page source and seeing if that module is "still" injecting some script(s) into the page. Also including a link to the page which demonstrates the problem might help others help you with some clues.

Your forum profile indicates you are not using the latest stable version of CiviCRM - would be good to upgrade (or update your forum profile - which also indicates you are using PHP4 which is not supported).

I'm running Joomla 1.5.18 with CiviCRM 3.1.5 and PHP 5.2.8. I just set up my very first event with a price set and I'm having the exact same issue. Anybody arrive at a solution on this?

u might want to upgrade to 3.2.2 and check if the problem persists
