Peter - You're not missing anything obvious. There's no "out of the box" way to show the related Organization as a search result (or export) column.

However, I think this is potentially an excellent use case for a BIRT report. We expect to have some sample reports that folks can try out up on the demo in the next few days. These will include some that allow you to drill down to the CiviCRM contact screens from the report rows.

I'd be happy to work with someone on your end to help them get up to speed on BIRT and implement a "Positions..." report.

CHeers Dave - Chris will be our BIRT front person. Of course I had forgotten working from the other end which was just to find the organisation and view its relationships. so at least there is an easy 'lets see who is in what roles in any particular branch'. As for the vacant roles. perhaps create a Blank Blank contact and actually allocate them to all the unfilled roles!
