Looking more like expected. Pls search for Aadams (yes double aa) - this person has Notes - I thought this might show up - but then thought maybe it only searches for word 'in' note, not for note 'for' person - so added a note to her record with word 'aadams' in it.

Maybe still not quite comprehensive or am i missing the point?

The current / expected behavior regarding Notes is to return the record which "owns" the Note if matching text is found. Examples:

* Wrote a note in a contribution record with the string "Gibson guitar". When I full-text search on that, the contribution record is returned.

* Wrote a note for a contact record (notes tab) with the string "Scout's diet". When I full-text search on that, the contact record is returned.

Since notes are always ancillary to a top-level object, this seems to make sense....(at least to me) :-)

Yes it makes sense - guess I was hoping the results could give you a little more in the way of indication as to where in that persons record the term may be

ps can you get the 'quick search' block back up for the sandbox - as with our upgrades, the block has gone out of sight  :(
