Email in Custom Profile for Event Registration
September 24, 2009, 10:14:01 am
I am very new to civiCRM, and hope that I have searched appropriately before posting here, but:

I am trying to create an civiEvent registration for a youth program which uses a custom profile that includes several email addresses (billing/contact, participant, parent). I have gathered that when a profile is used for event registration it strips out the email fields and uses just the primary address as part of the default registration.

Is it possible to override this so that I can collect additional emails as part of the registration process?

One potential solution is to use custom fields to collect the auxilary email addresses. Not a great solution, but should work :)

I see. Again, being novice, but I am assuming this won't allow me to use mail functions for these addresses. I'll dig deeper in the documentation. Maybe if I do this as a membership rather?
