Update email in CiviCRM.org unsuccessful

I just attempted to update my email address in the civicrm.org user records.  Received an error: "is not valid in SMF"

What's up with that?  Tried my new work address and my verizon.net address.

can u try changing the email address in your SMF profile. that errror seems SMF related and we'd like to avoid debugging / fixing the SMF module
