I got an import error because USA is not in the Country Names/Codes list...
"country input value not in country table: The Country value appears to be invalid. It does not match any value in CiviCRM table of countries."

But couldn't find where to manage this list in the Joomla backend....oh, here it is...

Administer-Configure-Global Settings-Localization, under "Contact Address Fields - Selection Values"

There is a related really tiny bug in the great error message that's included in the download, when the country is not available.  Try importing a record where the country is United Kingdom, but United Kingdom is not available.  I believe that that error message in the CSV file is just a little off, relative to the above path to make United Kingdom available.
