Breakout Sessions on CiviEvent

I wonder if anyone has a workaround for this.  I need the ability to have users register for breakout sessions at a event.  For instance, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, they may have the choice of going to session A1, A2 or A3 and from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM they may have the choice of going to session B1, B2 or B3, and so on.  As I see it now, this is not possible with the current set up in a single event.

Any ideas?

I think you can do this in a somewhat clumsy way by creating a set of multiple choice (radio or 'select') custom fields which extend Participant - one for each breakout session. Then include those fields in a Profile and embed the profile in your online registration form.
