HELP! Front-end Contribution Page displays and acts different from Back-end

HELP! HELP!

We're supossed to be going live and starting some major marketing tomorrow.

I tested the contribution page in the back-end multiple times with no problems.

When I run the front-end, I get a form that shouldn't be there:
"Please enter a user name to create an account . If you already have an account, please login before completing this form."

And when I hit continue it takes me back to the front page, multiple attempts yield the same result.

What is going on?!? Please help!
I'm running CiviCRM 3.0 alpha 2 and Joomla 1.5.14

We definitely recommend that you upgrade to a more recent version of the 3.0 series. Going live with an early alpha does not seem too wise

Ok, so I took down the alpha version. I tried to upload Beta 5 and now it won't upload properly. Tries using the install manager in the back-end first, only to have screen jump to the control panel page after hitting Instal. Then I went in to my files (via cPanel b/c I use SiteGround to host) and installed and unzipped the files myself into the components directory - still nothing.

I sent messages to a couple people on the professinals page, however the simple tasks I'm trying to do should not be this hard.

I am also having this problem. Using Joomla 1.5.12 and CiviCRM 2.2.7

Any help is appreciated.

Likely cause of this is:
- You have a Profile embedded in your Contribution page
- AND under the Settings for that Profile in Advanced Settings section - the option for "Joomla! user account registration option" is enabled. If you set this to "No account creation option" - the box should go away.

I am having the same problem, When I login to my civicrm profile, it takes me back to the homepage instead of remaining in civicrm page.

Any help is appreciated :)

I am running Joomla 1.5.14 and CiviCRM 3.0.1

Please start another topic for your problem and provide more details as to what URL(s) you are accessing, how it's configured, other background on the site (e.g. "everything else is working fine", OR "I've just installed and can't get to any other pages" etc.). Also, would be good to check your webserver (apache) error logs to see if any errors are being generated when the page load is failing.
