On the CIVICRM home page the users see a list of open activities. Is there anyway to set this list to only see what activities the user has entered?

Is there also a way to mark an activity has private,so that only administrators and the author can view a particular activity?

Thanks,

Lianne Dee

Hi Lianne,

I think you can alter this by using the custom searches in the system - but I could be wrong about that.

As far as I know there is no way to mark activities as private, however you can make custom fields private with ACL's and possibly you could use ACL's to make all activities private other than those of the author/responsible/admin. But, I'm no expert on this by any means! Would be interested in the possibility of privacy though...

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Lianne. there are two drupal permissions that control this. One is: "view all activities" and the other is "administer CiviCRM." If someone has the latter, they will see all activities because the assumption is they are the admin and should see them all.

If they don't have "administer civicrm" and don't have "view all activities," then a user would only see activities she has created or have been assigned to her.

Hope this helps
