The upgrade script says that it is upgrading from 2.2.8 to 3.0.  In reality, I actually have 2.2.9 installed.

When I try to run the upgrade on my database, I get the following error:

"Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
Database check failed - it looks like you have already upgraded to the latest version (v3.0.alpha2) of the database.

Return to home page."

I've tried this on a hosted dev site, and a local dev site with the database in various states, and still get the same error every time.  I've followed the upgrade instructions on http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Upgrade+Drupal+Sites+to+3.0 to the letter.

Anyone have any idea why this error might be occurring? I'm going to try a clean Fresh install of CiviCRM works fine, and see what results I get with that.
