Profile types

Hi,

In a fresh 2.2.9 install, civi installs a few default (pre-installed) profiles. One of them is "Name and Address"

If you open the profile, you see it's different than others.

Profile Name: Name and Address
Used For : [ ] Profile [ ]  Search Results  [ x ] User Registration [ x ] User Account [ x ] CiviEvent

Where can I set the [ x ] User Registration [ x ] User Account [ x ] CiviEvent. These are fixed.
Can anyone explain what/where they are used for?

Edwin

Hi Michael, Let me extend this question further.. Can we create a new profile which can be used for CiviEvent?

The "Used For" -
  • CiviEvent shows up for any profile that you've embedded in an Online Registration for an event (via Manage Events >> Configure >> Online Registration form).

There are some restrictions on what a profile used this way can include:
- Contact / Individual fields (including custom fields used for Contact or Individual)
- Participant fields (including custom fields used for Participant)

Hi Dave,

Thanks. I thought it was a setting and I wasn't getting it.

Thanks again.

Regards
Rohit
