domain.address includes html tags in plain text email
October 02, 2009, 05:40:27 pm
Hi All,

I've run into a minor issue while testing a mailout in CiviMail in CiviCRM 3.0.  I want to send only plain text and everything looks fine except the domain.address token which is inserting the address encapsulated in html tags:
Code: [Select]
<div class="location vcard"><span class="adr"><span class="street-address">17 XXXXXX Street</span>
<span class="locality">XXXXX XXXX</span>, <span class="region">VIC</span> <span class="postal-code">XXXX</span>
<span class="country-name">Australia</span></span></div>

Is there a simple way to avoid this?

cheers
Paul

I've just found the 3.0 drupal demo site displays the same behaviour as above. I'll file a bug report.

I can't log in on the demo site - http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/ - at present but some procedure causes error on my install.

1) Create a new mailing
2) Insert {domain.address}{action.optOut} in both HTML and Plain Text fields on Mailing Content Page
3) Click next, to get to Test page.
4) Click on preview or send test email.
5) Plain text {domain.address} is wrapped in html tags.

cheers

i verified this in my 3.0 sandbox. Can you please file an issue and we'll fix for a 3.0.x release

thanx

Hi, Lobo!
This is also true for Joomla v1.5.15 under CiviCRM v3.0.1.

Bruce - According to the issue tracker, the fix for this is included in 3.0.2. Have you tried that?
