duplicate registration

in order to register you need to use an email address, is there a way to avoid duplicates.. meaning only one email can register for the event.   this will avoid duplicates.

We have not addressed duplicate registration issues in CiviEvent with 1.8 and prior. I suspect we will get to this in a 2.x release. Please feel free to submit a patch if this is important to you
