Really stumped: upgrade from 2.2.8 to 3.0 on Drupal OK except dashboard
October 03, 2009, 07:41:14 pm
I just upgraded from 2.2.8 to 3.0 on Drupal 6.13 and the strangest thing has happened: everything looks great, except when I click on the link for the dashboard -- it just hangs; no error message or anything to give me a hint at what is going on.

I tried change the permissions in the /files directory and I also tried turning debug on.  Neither helped.

I set up the CiviCRM link to go to another page as a temporary work around, but would like to get this fixed.  Any help is really appreciated.

As a side note: I'm really impressed with the new reports and features.  Thanks for the great work!

Having the same problem in a standalone upgrade.  What was your workaround?

this is a known issue in 3.0, we are taking a look at it and will come back with a fix soon

In Drupal, there is a link to go to the CiviCRM dashboard under a person's profile -- this is the starting point.  I manually created a new link to the advanced search page and disabled the regular link.

I too am experiencing similar problems. I would love to be notified when this gets resolved. Is there any central location I can refer to for this fix? Please pardon my ignorance...

Thanks!

The patch worked for us -- it's running Drupal 6.14 using one of the default themes.
