1. you might want to give  a few more details

2. you might want to try to reproduce the issue on http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/

3. if you are just starting with CiviCRM, do consider using 3.0 which is the latest supported version :)

4. Ensure that your session has not timed out. So try to reproduce the issue immediately after logging in as admin

I am using CiviCRM 3.0 and am still experiencing the errors.

The backtrace errors occur when I'm trying to save things or create new things.

My session should not have timed out.  I am entering as the admin.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.10

Not able to reproduce.. it the 3.0 testing forum I had opened the same post...  this was one of the last replies from Kurund Jalmi.

This error is not related to site key. It's a quickform qfkey error. What's your php version?

I assume you've tried logging out and logging back in (in case this is a simple session problem)...

Otherwise you could check out this forum post (where solution was related to encoding on a one more more DB tables):
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,4766.0.html

BTW - I've read through your several posts and having a hard time understanding the history this problem. Is this a new installation? Or an upgrade to 3.0 from a prior version. Were things working at some point and then broke down (at what point) ?? etc.

Thanks for the response.  Yes, at some time things were working.  This is an upgrade from the 2.1 branch, through the beta of 3.0 to the stable 3.0.  Someone mentioned it may have something to do with my PHP version (5.2.9)? The other related issue I'm having is that when I click on the CiviCRM link from the component menu in Joomla, it just freezes.  The only way to get to my Civi installation is by using this link..
http://.../administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting&reset=1&sessionReset=2

No matter how many times I log in or out, it makes no difference.  When I install the component, it goes through the files successfully, then the Database successfully, then when it says "click here to go back to Civi.." it just sits there...

I looked at the link you sent.  Cleared out my sessions table.  All of my civicrm tables are utf8_unicode_ci and my joomla tables are utf8_general_ci.

In summary, I can browse just about anything I want, I just can't save anything.

We're scratching our heads here. Best for you to ping Lobo or Kurund on IRC and see if we can make progress that way.

Lobo helped me on IRC.  Think it had something to do with the baseURL and some file caching.  I followed his instructions and used this resource to fix it..
