CiviCRM/Joomla Code Monkey(s) Needed - Oakland, CA

We are looking for a few folks to help us implement CiviCRM with our new Joomla website. We recently redid our informational side of our website into Joomla and have several next steps that require more brain power than we currently have.

Our next step is to take our very old FileMaker database and migrate it over to CiviCRM, having it tie into our Joomla website. Our IT guy has figured out how to get the FM and Civi databases to talk to each other so we can have them co-exiting during the transition. Now we need to build out Civi to hold all the custom data coming over from FM. Then the next phase is to get something to tie Joomla and CiviCRM to a class registration/shopping type of area. Maybe that's an extended custom tweaking to CiviEvents, not sure yet.

We know that this is a lot of work and like most non-profits we don't have the budget for such a large project. However, we do have pretty cool stuff to trade. If someone can help us with some of this in volunteering their time, we can trade for class hours. So if you've ever wanted to learn to weld, blacksmith, blow glass, or eat fire then maybe this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.  ;) Check out our site if your interested in what we do - http://www.thecrucible.org

We love to contribute any custom code or tricks we learn in the process to the community. If anyone has more questions about the project, please do hesitate to ask.
