Data being overwritten

If I register myself for an event and then register another person, my record is being overwritten.  The second registrant has a different name, email address, etc.  I've only been able to cure this problem if I delete cookies each time I enter a new registrant.  Is there another solution?  I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere.

make sure you are not logged in when registering
