New Event Template ... 2 UI issues
October 16, 2009, 11:26:49 pm
These issues exist in my 3.0.1 test environment under Joomla, and also the Drupal demo site.

1. No tabs

When I create a new event template, only the contents of the first tab are presented (fees, online rego, etc don't appear). So creating a template requires a 'create' to set the content of the first tab, and then an 'edit' of the template to set the other tabs.

2. Template name overwritten

The template name is listed before the 'based on template' field. So, naturally I set the new template's name, and then select which existing template to base it on ... and the template name gets overwritten with the base-template's name. Can we suppress this overwriting if the name has been entered? Can we put the base-template selection first?

Should I create issues for these?

Ken

One creation, because you don't now yet what type of event it is, you don't know if for instance the payment tab should be disabled or enabled.

This being said you are right, it should go direct to edit mode after you create it IMO.

This is the same behaviour than for instance choosing a mail template. I do agree it'd be better to have it overwriting the subject/title fields only if they are empty.
