Would happen to know if there's a way to run reports on the informaiton from the databse:
1.     a list of all the particpants, and how many events they attended
2.     most populer events
3.     the event attracted people from the following states
4  etc.x

Thanks. i have the 1.8.. where do i activiate it? i dont see under enable  components and option for civicreport

It not like other CiviCRM Components. We use BIRT for reporting. Check the blog post how to use it. (http://civicrm.org/node/231)
