Can't search group members
October 22, 2009, 03:13:53 pm
Hi there.

I can't search for group members in "Contacts > Manage groups"
I want to search for members with pending email sign-up status.

I open  "Contacts > Manage groups", and open my mailinglist.
Than I can "Find Members within this Group". I enable "pending" and disable "added" in group status.
Than I put the cursor in the search box and hit enter.

I get a:

backTrace

Hi Lobo,

I tried to reproduce it, with on a test env. But it is running fine over there. So it has to do with a combination of J. (1.5.14)
Civi runs both on J. 1.5.14 and have only 3 users.

How can I debug this. Is the error generated by mysql?

Edwin.

Hi Lobo,

I finaly found out. It took me day's to find it out. Finaly I found it.
It turns out that it's the session handler of Joomla couses the problem "Could not find valid Key".
You can set J. to use the DB as sessionhandler or none and use cookies (I guess).

I Set it to none and it worked.

The problem is not solved. I still think it has to do with civi.

I added manualy a new contact. (name, lastname and email). After that, I couldn't search anymore. If I deleted the record of the added contact, I could search again.

If you're still getting "Could not find valid Key" - check this doc for further things to look at:
