Search function failing to fire on all occassions.
August 29, 2007, 04:27:26 pm
Hi. Given the discussion about SmartGroups which suggests I am not the only one experiencing such problems I thought I should raise this one in case it is a bug and not just our system failing to fire.
I have just done a lot of adding relationships and made use of the 'Contact Search' option in the side column lots. Often it would fail to 'fire' and would show me the results of my last 'search' rather than the new one I had just entered.
I couldn't spot a pattern - or spot my misuse of any keys - but can't quickly replicate it on the demo. So just mentioning in case it isn't unique to us.

Also would note my frustration with the Search field 'guessing' what I am typing and making it hard to get it to accept what I am typing in rather than what it thinks is the closest fit eg (on demo site) I want to find all names beginning Dan so type Dan% but the system presumes i am putting in 'dan%rian@gmail.com' but the 'rian@gmail.com' is highlighted so i hit delete which gets me back to 'dan%' but when I hit Enter nothing happens, so instead I have to mouse over and click in what is in the field and then hit "enter'. Maybe something can be tweaked here.
