SSL - not letting me turn on option
October 23, 2009, 05:41:13 am
I've done some browsing around with no real success.

My site : https://nwood.ns.ca/foundation appears to have a valid cert now. I try to turn on SSL and get the following error when I save the option:
    *  You need to set up a secure server before you can use the Force Secure URLs option

Version 2.2.3

Thanks for any help.

might wnat to upgrade to the latest 2.2.x (or 3.0.1) to get all the bug fixes. there were a few regarding SSL

your best bet would be to debug the code here:

CRM/Utils/System.php,  function checkURL

and figure out why it thinks https is not setup on your machine

I'd second lobo's upgrade statement.  I chased this hard in 2.x, hacked my CMS to fix it then it reappeared in 2.2.3 and I never found a fix.

I'm no longer at that church so I can't confirm that 3.0 fixes it.  Let us know though!

I've upgraded to version 3 and still getting the same error. The certificate is for https://nwood.ns.ca if anyone notices anything peculiar there. I'm running from nwood.ns.ca/foundation/<path to civi> and it's all running smoothly, but I just can't turn on SSL. I can visit the pages without errors that I see https://nwood.ns.ca and I'm totally dumbfounded by this. I'm no server guy and am totally stumped.
Can anyone help me out here? Thanks - appreciated.
