Integration of custom data and CiviMember

Our organization puts people who can help with people who need help.  Our site is www.lifemessage.org and we are at the tail end of the site development.

I have the CiviContribute (cash portion) done.  I need to know if it is possible to have a person/org go to the site and select "How would you like to contribute" then be asked if the donation is in cash, services, or a combination of both.  Alternatively we can have three separate areas (one for each).  Once they select service, they will have to fill out a form with their information as well as select from a set of pre-selected services (mechanical, appliance repair, etc) that they fall into.

The second half is for the recipients (who need assistance)  Basically the same form, but with a few different questions.  Is this possible and if so, is it a very difficult?
