CiviCRM CCK Contact Reference Module

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a specific reason why the CiviCRM CCK Contact Reference module is hardcoded so that it only returns 'Individual' type contacts?

I want to associate nodes with 'Organization' type contacts. Any thoughts other than changing the module code?

that module was/is an experiment of trying to integrate CCK with CiviCRM. We've not gone a lot further on it. If you can provide a patch that makes it extensible to all contact types (and sub-types) in 3.1 that would be great

Has any progress been made on expanding the CCK Reference Field to include Organizations?
