Problem was a customized template file which referred to "CRM/common/dojo.tpl"

I remove the customized template and that fixed the site.

Hershel,

I am having the same issue than annaleevk... can you tell me where to find the customized template?

I modified one of the templates about 6 months ago but I have no idea how to find it.
Andres

They are here civicrm/admin/setting/path?reset=1 in Drupal anyhow. I believe it's the same in Joomla.

Or go to Administer CiviCRM » Global Settings » Directories

Thanks hershel!

In Joomla! I found the custom template here: /administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/url&reset=1

Now it's working

In case this helps anyone else.  Here are the steps that we finally figured out to successfully upgrade to 3.02.  We did this on a test copy of the site first and then ran it on the live site.  We did not have an SSL certificate for the test site which is why we set the resource URLs off for the test upgrade.

1.  Set Resource URLs off in live site.
2.  Backup live site code & db.
3.  Set Resource URLS back on live site.
4.  Delete the entire directory for the test site.
5. Drop both dbs.
6. Import the backup dbs.
7. Upload the backup code of devtest.
8. Log into devtest.
9.  Disable CiviCRM_Theme module.
10. Disable the custom template file b/c it's only good for
the older version. To disable, go to
http://devtest.handson.org/civicrm/admin/setting/path?reset=1
and remove the value there for Custom Templates.
11. Change admin and main theme to Garland.
12. Delete the /sites/default/files/civicrm/templates_c folder
 entirely.
13. Delete the /sites/all/modules/civicrm directory
14. Upload the new civicrm code.
15. Browse to http://handson.org/civicrm/upgrade?reset=1
16. Return to CiviCRM homepage and pray.....
17. Check everything out.
18.  Upgrade to CiviCRM_theme current patched version and re-enable.

Note that we are having some display issues which may be theme related.  Basically, the new CiviCRM design expands beyond the boundaries of our main content block.  Hershel is still working on correcting this.

Thanks to all,
Annalee
