Temporary Files Direction Location (is /tmp OK?)
November 01, 2009, 06:05:53 pm
So it puts something like this in...

/home/username/public_html/sites/example.com/files/civicrm/upload/

as the "Temporary Files" directory.

Any reason why that shouldn't just be "/tmp"?  If they are truly temporary why would we want to store them someplace where they might get backed up?

Apologies if I missed this somewhere else.

yes, u can use /tmp

most hosting providers dont give you access to /tmp. hence we do not suggest that
