Can CiviSMTP handle large mailings?

We're looking at using CiviSMTP for organizations who have large distributions lists (100k+), and we're just wondering if CiviSMTP would be able to handle mailings of this size? Is there an upper limit? Is anyone currently using CiviSMTP with mailings this large and have any feedback?

Hi,  Yes we can handle large mailings.  This week we are deploying a system for a new client that sends blasts of 400k+ at a time.  if you like,  email civismtp@uas.coop and we can discuss your needs.

Hi I have similar questions:

we are looking at implementing CiviCRM and CiviSmtp seems like a great solution for our needs.

I'm wondering about the following:

1. Can CiviSMTP send out 1 million mail per hour?
2. Can we use the same SMTP account for multiple CiviCRM implementations?
3. Does CiviSMTP mail server have the capability for SPF authorization?

a couple of non-related questions (i'm not affliated with civismtp)

1. how big is your database and how big is the mailing?

2. i assume u'll have the $$$ to send out such large mailings, since its adds up quite fast

Hi, 

we can theoretically handle such a large mailing, but so many other things go into a successful mailing and having them delivered in an hour other than just getting them up in mail queues.  Things like your current mailing history, the cleanliness of your lists, etc will have a huge impact on deliverability.

We are doing mailings of close to 177k in our list.  having a clean list is HUGE!!
