Online Registration Closed Message

Once online registration has closed for an event, the link to the event just disappears.

Is there any way to post a message, that online registration for the event has closed?  We had some confusion at our last event, when people did not realize that online registration had closed.

You will need to edit:

CRM/Event/Page/EventInfo.php

approx line 163 onwards contains the code which generates the Register Now text (or not)

This seems like a good addition. I've added an issue with some implementation notes for 3.2. If you have resources to jump on this sooner - you can upload a patch to that issue. As noted in the issue, we need to differentiate between "registration closed due to registration end date passed" and "this type of user doesn't have permission to register for this event due to Drupal perms or ACLs" - hence the code changes are a bit more complicated.
