3.0 upgrade CiviEvent problem
November 04, 2009, 04:41:40 am
After upgrading to 3.0 Joomla integration, the "complete description" field in an event can't be edited.  It keeps the information that was put into previous events for that field, but doesn't show that information in the admin screen and the complete description field can't be edited for existing or new events.  I've cleared the cache, rest session, and tried in IE and Firefox.  Any ideas?

If so, can you please give us the exact sequence of steps to reproduce this issue

thanx

Sounds like a problem with WYSIWYG editor field(s) on your site (and possibly with other javascript-driven functionality??). You can use Firebug's (Firefox plugin) console to check for errors when that page loads. You can also try switching the WYSIWYG editor used in your CiviCRM forms from Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Site Preferences.

Re: 3.0 upgrade CiviEvent problem [SOLVED]

CND on demo... but Dave, thanks you solved the problem!  Firebug showed a bunch of errors on page load.  I switched from FCKEditor to TinyMCE and it is working fine.  I am using JCE editor for the articles, etc. in this Joomla site outside of CiviCRM, so hopefully there won't be any problem continuing to do that.  So far, so good.  Thanks again!
