Exposing PCP list to front end of joomla?
November 04, 2009, 01:39:52 pm
Is there a way to expose a "directroy" or searchable list of Personal Campaign Pages to the front end of Joomla?
I would like to have a menu link that takes visitors to a directory of PCPs so they can find the personl page that they want to support or can I put a link to a persons profile that goes to there personal campaign page?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

rayogram has built this for their PCP implementation.

We are planning to incorporate that code in 3.2. if you have the time/skills/resources, you can help out and potentially do the needed work, so we can add it for 3.1 :)

Ouch...  :)

Thanks for the reply and info Lobo. I would love to try and contribute, but I am sooooo not a coder. (shame on me)
Thanks though.

One last quick question if it's ok, could it potentialy be possible to some how add a link to the PCP page in a useres profile?

We expose PCP pages on the users dashboard (task=civicrm/dashboard)

you can potentially expose that link in your users profile. I'm not sure how you can add information to a profile in joomla. In drupal, u'll need to implement the _user hook in your module (php code required)

Thanks Lobo,
I'll dig around some more and see if I can find how to possibly do under joomla.
