CiviMail not grabbing the bounces?
November 05, 2009, 09:21:07 am
I'm currently on CiviCRM 2.2 (upgrade to 3 coming soon).

We have noticed that bounces are not getting properly tracked and are always reporting as none. CiviMail confuses the heck outta me, and I'm actually not the one who configured it for our server, but I have to do the initial detective work before I can pass this off to the backend postfix/amavisD configuration person should it resort to that.

OK, in my maillog I can correctly see that a message is getting a status of failure by this line: Final-Recipient: rfc822;email@email.com<rfc822%3email@email.com> Action: failed Status: 5.1.1

The sender of the mailing also gets a Delivery Status Notification.

CiviMail shows no bounces.

Ok, so then I found this forum post
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=10364.0
And I double-checked to make sure no one is checking the box for 'override VERP address', and that is NOT getting checked.

Any ideas on what the issue could be? I'm not sure what to check next, would love any pointers you have!

thanks,
emily
