membership status rule is not working
November 06, 2009, 10:25:46 am
I have a status rule Grace set as follows:

Start Event = end date
End Event = end date + 1 year

When searching members based on Grace rule, I get no matches even though there are members that fall into this rule.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

The "search by status" only searches based on statuses assigned in the DB. In order to make sure that membership statuses are kept updated as time goes on - you need to run the UpdateMembership. Check out the big green box in the middle of this doc page:

Thanks for the info.  I got the cron job set up.

I think I might have had a problem with the Grace and Expired rules overlapping?  Is this possible?  For example

Grace: start = end date; end = end date + 1 year
Expired: start = end date

Thanks,

Aaron

yes, overlapping rules will cause a problem because they are evaluated in "weight" order - and the first match is used.
