Two constituents who want to use the same email address

I'm thinking others must have to deal with this.  Any best practices?

This has happened to me a few times now.  Sometimes it is an older couple who both monitor the same email.  Sometimes it is a parent and child who are both constituents due to the nature of my program, but again one email address for contact purposes.

Where are you hitting a problem with this? I know it's problematic to use the same email address for 2 Drupal users, but CiviCRM should allow you to enter the same email for two different contact records.

Front-end forms for anonymous users (e.g. online event registration, online contribution pages) will use the configure "Strict" matching rule for Individuals. Hence you might want to modify the default strict rule to check on Email PLUS Name fields if you're concerned about inadvertent matches for these flows.
